Impact Of Conflict Of Preponderant Rules Between Exegetes: Imam Al-Tabari And Imam Al-Nasafi As An Example

Abstract

Tafsir of the Book of God depends on sources arranged by scholars in their works. Tafsir Qur’an by the Qur’an is at the forefront and then followed by tafsir by the Sunnah. In the view of the fact that tafsir is not limited to these two main sources, but was expanded to include personal opinion; that has resulted in the multiplicity and diversity of views towards one word or verse, which made the exegetes resort to weighting when the combination was not possible. The observer may find a difference in what has been held as the preponderant view form one interpreter to another, and herein lies the research problem, which aims to shed light on the rules upon which the commentators rely in weighting, and the impact of the conflict of the rules on one example, by presenting examples in the commentaries of Imam Abu Ja’afar al-Tabari and Imam Abu Hafs al-Nasafi. The research employed comparative descriptive method in weighting the most correct views of Imam Abu Ja’afar al-Tabari and Imam Abu Hafs al-Nasafi by studying the rules and evidences they have benefited from in giving preponderance to views. The study concluded that the conflict of preponderant rules of a single example has an impact on the disagreement of interpreters in selecting the preponderant view, which lead the interpreter to consider what he most likely thought. It also resulted that if what each of them suggested is presumable in the verse, and they were just as strong in reasoning, then the most appropriate is to carry the verse on the both sayings, otherwise it is more likely based on the strongest evidence.

يعتمد تفسير كتاب الله على مصادر رتبها العلماء في مصنفاتهم، ويحتل تفسير القرآن بالقرآن مكان الصدارة، ثم بالسنة. ولما كان التفسير لم يقتصر على هذين الأصلين بل توسع ليشمل الفهم الخاص؛ نتج عن ذلك تعدد الأقوال واختلافها نحو الكلمة الواحدة أو الآية الواحدة، مما ألجأ المصنفون إلى الترجيح عند تعذر الجمع. والناظر قد يجد اختلافا بين ما رجحه مفسر ومفسر آخر، وهنا تكمن مشكلة البحث، والذي يروّم تسليط الضوء على القواعد التي يعتمد عليها المفسرون في الترجيح وأثر تنازع القواعد المثال الواحد، من خلال عرض نماذج من تفسير الإمام أبي جعفر  الطبري و الإمام أبي حفص النسفي. وقد استخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي المقارن في الموازنة بين مرجَّحَات الإمام أبي جعفر الطبري والإمام أبي حفص النسفي عن طريق دراسة ما استفادوا به من أدلة وقواعد في ترجيح الأقوال. وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى أن تنازع قواعد الترجيح المثال الواحد له أثر في تباين أقوال المفسرين في ترجيح أحد الأقوال، مما يدفع بالمفسر إلى اعتبار وترجيه ما قوي فيه الظن. ونتج كذلك أنه إن كان ما رجحه كل منهما محتمل في الآية، ومتساويا في القوة من حيث الاستدلال، فالأولى حمل الآية على كلا القولين، وإلا فيصار إلى الترجيح بناء على الأدلة الأقوى.
