Revolusi Industri 4.0 Dalam Agihan Zakat: Platfom Ke Arah Pelaksanaan Integrasi Teknologi Sistem Komputer Dan Dunia Fizikal

Abstract

The development of technology has an impact on the zakat industry in Malaysia. The Industrial Revolution 3.0 has brought many rapid developments through information and communication technology. This revolution, also known as the Digital Revolution, creates a new dimension of life by offering services and products based on computers and digital. Now, the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) comes with new features and designs that are oriented towards speed, breadth and depth that also combine the three elements of physical, digital and biological. This study aims to identify the management direction of zakat institutions in the era of IR 4.0 and to get general overview of the response or reaction of zakat institutions to the challenges of IR 4.0. The study was conducted qualitatively through research and content analysis of thematic documents related to the use of the latest technology in the distribution of zakat in Malaysia. IR 4.0 is still in transition since its introduction and needs time to mature. This technology’s capability is also needed to improve the management of zakat to be more dynamic and sustainable direction. Thus, most zakat institutions have taken the opportunity to use the current technology in the era of the Digital Revolution. Some zakat institutions have explored to meet the challenge of IR 4.0 by providing a platform towards the implementation of technology that integrates computer systems and the physical world (Cyber-Physical System).

Abstrak
Perkembangan teknologi memberi kesan kepada industri zakat di Malaysia. Revolusi Industri 3.0 (IR 3.0) telah banyak membawa perkembangan pesat melalui teknologi maklumat dan komunikasi. Revolusi yang turut dikenali sebagai Revolusi Digital ini mewujudkan dimensi baharu kehidupan dengan menawarkan perkhidmatan dan produk yang berasaskan komputer dan digital. Kini, Revolusi Industri 4.0 (IR 4.0) tampil dengan ciri dan rekaan baharu yang berorientasikan kelajuan, keluasan dan kedalaman yang turut menggabungkan tiga elemen fizikal, digital dan biologi. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti halatuju pengurusan institusi zakat di era IR 4.0 dan mendapatkan gambaran umum respon dan reaksi institusi zakat terhadap cabaran IR 4.0. Kajian dijalankan secara kualitatif melalui penelitian dan analisa kandungan dokumen bertema yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan teknologi terkini dalam pengagihan zakat di Malaysia. IR 4.0 masih dalam proses peralihan sejak diperkenalkan dan memerlukan tempoh masa untuk matang. Kemampuan teknologi ini turut diperlukan untuk menambahbaik pengurusan zakat ke arah yang lebih dinamik dan mampan. Justeru, kebanyakan institusi zakat telah mengambil peluang dan ruang menggunakan teknologi di era Revolusi Digital. Tidak kurang juga beberapa institusi zakat telah meneroka untuk menyahut cabaran IR 4.0 dengan menyediakan pelantar atau platfom ke arah pelaksanaan teknologi yang mengintegrasikan sistem komputer dan dunia fizikal (Cyber-Physical System).
