Abstract

Assessment refers to the process of assessing the level of success or effectiveness of a certain aspect or the entire curriculum or course, in terms of objective validity, connection and sequence, as well as the achievement level of a particular educational goal. In promoting the Quranic in education, the Ministry of Education Malaysia has introduced the Quranic Competency Class (KKQ) in secondary schools aimed at producing students who are literate, understand and inculcate the Quran in their daily life. However, this objective will never be achieved without the program assessment, particularly by the designated teachers to obtain feedback on its effectiveness and suggestions for improvement. Therefore, a specific framework should be developed and introduced for teachers' assessment of Tarannum course. This qualitative research involves document analysis, interviews and observations as a means of collecting data and research information. Based on the findings, a specific framework has been proposed by modifying the CIPP assessment model from Daniel L. Stufflebeam according to the Tarannum KKQ course.

Abstrak

Penilaian merujuk kepada proses pengkajian tahap kejayaan atau keberkesanan sesuatu aspek atau keseluruhan kurikulum atau kursus dari segi kesahihan objektif, kaitan dan urutan isi serta tahap pencapaian matlamat pendidikan yang ditetapkan. Dalam memartabatkan bidang al-Quran dalan pendidikan, Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia telah memperkenalkan Kelas Kemahiran al-Quran (KKQ) di sekolah menengah bertujuan untuk menghasilkan pelajar yang celik, memahami seterusnya membudayakan al-Quran dalam kehidupan seharian. Namun begitu, matlamat ini tidak akan tercapai sekiranya penilaian program ini tidak dilakukan khususnya oleh para guru yang mengajar untuk mendapatkan maklumbalas keberkesanannya serta ruang penambahbaikan program tersebut. Justeru, suatu kerangka penilaian yang khusus untuk penilaian para guru terhadap kursus Tarannum ini harus dibina dan diperkenalkan untuk proses tersebut. Kajian ini berbentuk kualitatif yang melibatkan analisis dokumen, temu bual dan pemerhatian sebagai kaedah pengumpulan data dan maklumat kajian. Dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa suatu kerangka penilaian telah disyorkan berdasarkan model penilaian CIPP yang diperkenalkan oleh oleh Daniel L.Stufflebeam telah diubahsuai mengikut kesesuaian kursus Tarannum KKQ itu sendiri.
