Abstract

The advancement of information and communication technology has transformed many industries from manual-based to automatic-based activity and from offline to online transaction inclusive the financial industry. The banks had responded to this phenomenon through establishing digital banking, where banks digitized all traditional transactions and services in an application in order to make their service more reliable, accessible and convenient to their customers. Thus, the aim of this paper is to explore relevant literatures on Islamic digital banking in the light of Maqasid al-Shariah. The methodology of research in this paper is through content analysis of the relevant literatures in Islamic digital banking and Maqasid al-Shariah. The general finding shows that the best predictors for Islamic digital banking adoption are trust, perceived security, perceived usefulness, reliable and accessible to the customers that come from various segmentation.  Academician, researcher and practitioners of Islamic banking and finance will be able to use the findings from this study to improve adoption and quality of current digital banking service in line with the objective of Shariah.

Abstrak
Perkembangan teknologi maklumat dan komunikasi telah mentransformasikan pelbagai industri dari aktiviti berasaskan manual kepada aktiviti yang berasaskan automatik dan transaksi secara dalam talian, termasuklah industri kewangan. Pihak bank telah memberi respon terhadap fenomena ini dengan mewujudkan perbankan digital. Industri perbankan telah cuba menjadikan semua transaksi dan pelbagai perkhidmatan tradisional kepada aplikasi peranti supaya perkhidmatan yang disediakan menjadi lebih telus, boleh diakses bagi memudahkan pihak pelanggan untuk menggunakannya. Oleh itu, kajian ini adalah bertujuan untuk meneroka kajian literatur yang relevan berkaitan dengan perbankan digital Islam yang berasaskan Maqasid al-Shariah. Metodologi penyelidikan yang digunapakai dalam kajian ini adalah dengan menganalisis kandungan kajian literatur yang relevan berkaitan dengan perbankan digital Islam dan Maqasid al-Shariah. Penemuan umum menunjukkan bahawa ciri-ciri yang terbaik yang perlu ada untuk menikmati penggunaan perbankan digital Islam hendaklah berasaskan kepercayaan, keselamatan, keberfungsiannya sendiri dan mudah diakses oleh pelanggan yang datang dari pelbagai segmen. Para ahli akademik, penyelidik dan pakar dalam perbankan dan kewangan Islam dapat menggunakan hasil daripada kajian ini sebagai rujukan untuk mereka bagi meningkatkan penggunaan dan kualiti perkhidmatan perbankan digital semasa supaya ianya selaras dengan objektif shariah.
