Abstract

This study aims to assess the elements of soft skills among students regarding the implementation of the ik-PBM model for the Islamic Studies course at polytechnics. The methodology employed is quantitative in nature. The sample comprises 129 students from Session II 2023/2024 who are enrolled in the Islamic Studies course at a polytechnic in the central zone. The instrument used was a set of questionnaires, and the data were analyzed descriptively to explain the impact of soft skills. Data were analyzed using IBM Statistical Packages for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 27. Findings from the descriptive analysis indicate that students' mastery level of soft skills is high (mean ≥ 4.23) for all evaluated constructs. In conclusion, the findings of this study demonstrate that the ik-PBM model has a positive impact in fostering values within students. Therefore, to enhance the implementation of this model, the researcher suggests the development of a comprehensive PBM module.
