Abstract

Dialysis treatment is a modern medicine that end-stage kidney patients need to undergo. These treatments use specialized machines and equipment to ensure that each patient receives effective treatment. The increase in new dialysis centers that have been opened recently proves that kidney disease in the community is at a serious level. Various organizations and authorities provide full support for this treatment both in the form of Finance and motivation. However, there is a perception of patients who underestimate the need to carry out dialysis treatment after being advised by a medical specialist according to the treatment session as scheduled and the thin understanding of the community on the treatment from the perspective of Islamic law.Therefore, this study will examine the extent to which dialysis treatment is carried out according to the latest views of Islamic scholars in Malaysia covering three important aspects, namely legal guidance, implementation of worship and financing assistance functions throughout the treatment. Qualitative methodologies are applied based a In this regard, the study suggests that patients and family members should be more aware of the need for dialysis treatment through new media that is the focus of today. Abstrak

Rawatan dialisis adalah perubatan moden yang perlu dijalani oleh pesakit buah pinggang tahap akhir. Rawatan ini menggunakan mesin dan peralatan khusus bagi memastikan setiap pesakit mendapat rawatan berkesan. Pertambahan pusat dialisis baharu yang dibuka kebelakangan ini membuktikan penyakit buah pinggang dalam kalangan masyarakat berada di tahap yang serius. Pelbagai organisasi dan pihak berautoriti memberi sokongan sepenuhnya terhadap rawatan ini sama ada dalam bentuk kewangan dan motivasi. Namun, terdapat persepsi pesakit yang memandang ringan terhadap keperluan melaksanakan rawatan dialisis selepas disarankan oleh doktor pakar perubatan mengikut sesi rawatan seperti dijadualkan dan tipis pemahaman masyarakat terhadap rawatan tersebut dari perspektif hukum syarak. Oleh itu, kajian ini akan meninjau sejauhmana rawatan dialisis dijalankan menurut pandangan terkini para sarjana Islam di Malaysia merangkumi tiga aspek penting iaitu panduan hukum, pelaksanaan ibadat dan fungsi bantuan pembiayaan sepanjang rawatan. Kaedah metodologi kualitatif diaplikasikan berdasarkan sesi temu bual dan merujuk kajian para sarjana dalam aspek dibincangkan. Hasil kajian mendapati terdapat kekeliruan dalam memahamkan kepentingan dan kawalan rawatan dialisis kepada pesakit apabila mereka memilih untuk tidak menjalani rawatan sehingga akhir hayat. Sehubungan itu, kajian ini mencadangkan supaya kesedaran pesakit dan ahli keluarga dipertingkatkan terhadap keperluan rawatan dialisis menerusi media baharu yang menjadi tumpuan masa kini. Di samping memelihara tahap kesihatan dan menjalani ujian kesihatan secara berkala.
